Growth Habit: 5-6 feet high x 5-6 feet wide
USDA Zone: 7-9
Exposure: filtered to full sun
Growing Conditions: moist, well-drained soils. Adapts to coastal conditions
Comments: A more compact form of the popular Strawberry tree. White flower clusters appear in spring followed by dark green fruits turning orange. Edible, although mealy, the fruits are sometimes fermented and made into wine. Though some might like its intoxicating effects, I choose to grow this evergreen shrub for its ornamental value!!
Plant Size: 15-18 inch
