Growth Habit: small tree reaching 8-10 feet high x 6-8 feet wide

Growing Conditions: well drained soils
Comments: As young trees used extensively for bonsai culture. Ours have been grown to develop as small-stature garden trees. They have developed the characteristic corky bark and have trunks 1 1/2 to 2 inches in diameter. In spring small, 1 1/2" long leaves with serrated edges cover the branches. Artistically trained would make a wonderful addition to the garden.
