Comments: Large ball-shaped trusses are purple with white centers and a prominent copper blotch on the upper lobe. A striking color combination. Large, leathery leaves with recurved edging. Though not readily available has been in limited production for over 120 years. Hardiness of this cultivar is unknown, but it is grown successfully in Germany, parts of Norway, and here in the United States.
