Comments: One of the very first dwarf conifers ever selected. Dates back to 1867. Ours, in the garden, is a 45-year-old specimen with a 12-foot head. We rescued it, with its 6000 lb. root ball, from a new housing development and planted it in the garden in 2002. The plants we now have available are the first generation from this magnificent specimen.
