Latin Name: For over a 150 years this plant was known as Chamaecyparis nootkatensis, but more recent advanced technology has led to reclassification. The next International Botanical Conference is in 2011, where
hopefully, the true family, genus, and possibly even species of this
plant will finally be decided on. Until then we will list it under Cupressus
where it was originally placed in 1824.
