Comments: Considered one of the slowest growing of all rhododendrons. Tiny, bright green leaves are only 1/2 inch long with a dense covering of brown scales on the back. Sporatic flowers appear in April and are 3/4 inch long, wide funnel form, bright purple or deep purple-red.
