Growth Habit: dwarf mounding shrub
USDA Zone: 5-9
Exposure: filtered sun
Growing Conditions: moist, well-drained soils
Comments: This recently introduced maple originated as a sport of 'Toyama nishiki' at Tsukasa Maples in Japan. Its American translation means "adorned with flowers" and certainly with its spectacular pinks and creams it takes on a look of a flowering shrub. Stems also have streaks of color to enhance winter interest. Fall leaves turn brilliant orange to red. Best placed where it receives a break from the hot afternoon sun.
Plant Size: 24 inches high x 18-21 inches wide
