Comments: Newly available Japanese maple with dense, compact branching. Leaves emerge bright red darkening with age. In fall leaves turn a fiery red. Dark red stems add to winter interest in the garden. Will reach six-feet high x five-feet wide in ten years. A cultivar selected by Rhode Island Nurseries in Middletown, Rhode Island.
