Pinus mugo (1040 Broom)
Size: see below
USDA Zone: 2-8
Exposure: full sun
Growing Conditions: good drainage, drought tolerant when established
Comments: Super slow growing with tiny, one-inch whorls forming a tightly bunched mass of deep, forest green. Have not found any information that this selection has been given a cultivar name, but it certainly deserves that distinction. Our slowest growing mugo. Our plants are 10 years old.
