Originally ordered mid-summer, just before the heat made transport to the east coast too risky. Mark emailed and advised it best to wait until early fall. Received the tree this weekend and it is one of the most beautiful trees I've ever seen and it arrived in the best condition of any tree I've ordered online (and we've ordered several from across the country this past year, though we try to limit the travel distance). We are SO impressed with Bloom River. Since this was our first order with them. I was a bit apprehensive about the wait, but I trusted the Dave's Garden reviews and we're definitely not disappointed! Kalmia is not an easy plant to find for sale on the internet. I Ordered 2 for my sister's birthday. They arrived in great shape. Foliage nice and dark, no broken branches. Excellent packing.

I bought my large Blue Peter decades ago and love this 8-10 foot shrub even when it is not blooming; the leaves are lovely. This large rhodie rarely complains. “In the nautical world, the Blue Peter is the nickname for the "Papa" (P) signal flag—a blue flag with a white square in the center. When flown in port, it signifies that the vessel is ready to sail, and all crew and passengers should report on board, as the vessel is about to proceed to sea.” Years ago I talked to a couple motoring in a beautiful old-fashioned wooden boat named Blue Peter. They explained the nautical term to me and I told them about my beautiful Blue Peter shrub. This is a wonderful plant to plant.

Wow! Received 4 Minnetonka Rhododendrons from Bloom River Gardens and they were BEAUTIFUL! Size was as described and packaging was superb. Am extremely pleased with both the company and the plants!

This rhododendron has the most beautiful display of contrasting color variation…depth of color and overall eye appeal. Light pink to dark,m dark crimson pink contrasting inner detail.

Olin O Dobbs takes my breath away every spring when it reliably blooms here in my zone 5 Vermont arboretum. It is truly a treasure!

I am delighted with Summer Glow. I just received 13 for a mass planting. The blooms are huge. They have a light fragrance of pixie stix which I would expect to develop as the plant establishes it's self. The new growth has a lovely red color with light green leaves.

Love the daintiness and it’s compact nature. Can’t wait till it blooms. Stealthy rhodie for a woodland garden.

Thank you for sending such a full and well shaped plant. It was packaged perfectly and appears to have no damage. I plan to plant it near my front door and was concerned it could be small and scraggly. However, I am really impressed and it will look awesome. Well worth the money. Thank You

I have had a wonderful experience here at Bloom River Gardens. My email queries were answered quickly and my order requests were followed to the T. The two huckleberries I ordered were shipped promptly in a long box. The well-developed roots and damp soil were enclosed in tied plastic which were affixed to each side of the box. Thus, the pine fines remained on top of the root ball, the plants didn't move, and no branches were broken. Ingenious! I've had no experience with huckleberries, but these plants arrived in top shape. Both were about 11" high and 10" in diameter, with many small branches and a lot of new growth and leaf buds. They've been in the ground 4 days and are already showing more growth. I am SO PLEASED! Thank you, Bloom River!
